Where are his Friends? Justin Bieber steps out solo after dropping new single...which fans believe ...

After cancelling the remaining 14 dates on his world tour last month, Justin Bieber seems to be back in his fans' good graces with the release of his latest single Friends.

And on Sunday, the 23-year-old musician looked to be in good spirits as he stepped out solo in West Hollywood, California.

Bieber smiled while leaving the London Hotel and getting into his Mercedes G Wagon in a red shirt, white shorts and brown flat shoes.

Bieber released his latest song Friends on Thursday - and Beliebers went wild for it.

The singer unveiled plans for the single earlier this week, and the upbeat, poppy song - a collaboration with producer-songwriter Bloodpop - is now available.

Featuring lyrics about wanting to stay friends with a former partner, he sings: 'Now you're wonderin' why I've been calling?/Like I've got ulterior motives.

It didn't take the internet long to decide the lyrics were about his ex, Selena Gomez, 25.

Although there was no discernible evidence the ex Justin was referring to was Selena, the majority of his fans seemed to go along with it.

Justin and Selena dated on and off for two years, before eventually calling their relationship quits in 2012.

Justin and Bloodpop previously teamed up for the Canadian singer's hit track Sorry, and Friends marks his first solo release since his 2015 album Purpose.

The Love Yourself hitmaker confirmed the release on Instagram, writing: 'New song #Friends out now '

As expected, the release brought further worship for the Canadian popstar, with one follower even declaring him 'this generations Michael Jackson.'
